In the last months, I migrated my website and other tools I host myself to a dedicated virtual server in Germany. As part of this migration, I decided to ditch my wordpress blog and switch to a static site generator.

I’m trying hugo for this site. For now, this means that I will not have any comments section on the blog, but I will see how I can extend this later. I also might experiment with various themes, but this one seems to be good enough for now.

I plan to put up all the old posts back here, but that will take a while, because the old wordpress instance is no longer available. So I first have to get a working wordpress instance, restore the old posts from the backups and export the posts to Markdown for hugo..
